I have a request of both of you gals, please .. I am not participating

in the holiday swap in the traditional sense .. I will be sending all

folks participating in the swap a gift, but I am not assigning myself a

buddy. I think that is too much weirdness and pressure for anyone to

have the list mom as a buddy - it's like being paired up with the

teacher in 5th grade, not too fun ... hehehee ;) ) Anyway ... can I

PLEASE ask you ladies to each send me a CD of your personal favorite

music from the country you live in? I promise to make the swap worth

your whiles :-D I have an extensive world music collection thanks to a

buyer job I had in NYC and I would LOVE to expand it further, and how

much more authentic can ya get then a CD from the folks who live around

the world in the countries the music is coming from? I received some

WONDERFUL Turkish music from Butch for my birthday that I found

impossible to locate in the US (thank you again Butchim :) ). If y'all

can't do it I totally understand, but if you can you'll make this list

mom a happy lady who is very willing to send Rose Otto soaps, champagne

baths and milk baths all around the planet ;)

*Smile*

Chris (list mom)

P.S. If anyone else on the list, in any of our over 1/2 a dozen

countries, wants to trade CD's of your favorite music native to the

country you live in .. I'll gladly swap with y'all too!

I agree with the thought that it might be a bit like being paired up with the teacher from 5th grade!

Yes, of course - be delighted to

David - husband - is very into re-recording and suggests that instead of me sending just one CD that he makes a compilation of our favourite Scottish music and sends that. Would that be OK by you?

Regards

Ann - Scotland

Hi Chris,

I'd be very happy to do that :-)) Now to narrow down the choice ;-)

I just returned last night from my first week down on my (sorry OH,

'our' *g*) new farm and am only just beginning to catch up with all

the emails ... I put all my on nomail while I was away, &

*still* had nearly 800 emails to download *lol* Nearly cleared one

very active group last night, & just scanning the archives here for

anything I need to attend to before heading to clinic for the day. I

hardly get time for the PC on weekends, so will probably be Monday

before I get a chance to really catch up !

Gotta run !!

Jane :-))
