Guest guest
Here in Kansas we have had quite warm weather for this late in the fall. So we have been able to take in many extra harvests lately. This weekend was probably our last big harvest, since we are expecting a freeze on the upcoming US turkey day. So, what has been harvested is available for immediate shipping. If you wish, the herbs can be dried first (takes about a week or two), otherwise they will be shipped priority and will arrive to you fresh and supple. Since these are fresh herbs, prices are quoted in half ounces. Order as much as you want. Small amounts can be shipped via first class and vacuum packed to seal in the freshness. May take up to five days to arrive. Cayenne peppers - Hot and hotter. These peppers are very very spicy, and they also dry well. I use them in herbal vinegars and oils to give in my holiday gift baskets. 1/2 ounce - $2.00 Thai peppers - Not part of my normal stock, but we had such a huge harvest this year, I need to move some out. These peppers are tiny, and much hotter than the cayennes. They range from 40,000HU to 100,000HU on average. Several of this batch have registered over 140,000HU. Use these to make some of the most delicious Thai hot pepper sauce that you see in gourmet restaurants. 1/2 ounce - $2.50 Sage- whole leaf sage from some of our 10 and 12 year old plants. This stuff is wonderful on turkey, and in sausage. Make some great sage stuffing with this. Flavor like you wouldn't believe. 1/2 ounce - $0.75 Lemon Verbena - Some of the best lemon tea that I have ever tasted (and I don't like lemons!). This wonderful herb adds a perfect balance of lemon flavor to any poultry dish. I make lemon chicken with it quite often. Whole leaves are great used as a rub before cooking the meat. 1/2 ounce $1.00 Celery Seed- Making pickles, seasoning soups, stuffing a bird; good old fashioned cooking needs celery seed. Whole seeds have been dehydrated to ensure prevention of mold. 1/2 ounce - $1.50 Payment accepted via paypal, visa, mastercard, check or money order (cash in person).
