He paid for a domain name through ampira, which will also charge him monthly. Will this get his web site to show up as he puts it " World Wide Web " , like , MSN and so forth. So any info you can give me would be apreciate it. He is also now asking me to ask you " How does he get it on there, he doesn't know.I should have ask before he paid that money. And his site looks good, he has our pictures and all. He is setting up a scrapebook page with the party we did for one of the coven. But getting it on would be good! I'm a web designer, and the companies that I and my clients purchase domain names from usually charge annually or bi-annually.... never monthly. They pay monthly for the hosting services, but not the domain name. >Will this get his web site to show up as he puts it " World Wide Web " , like >, MSN and so forth. You get your pages on the web by uploading them to your host server. You contract with a web host for this. They give you access to their servers, and you upload your pages there. They give you instructions for uploading the pages. You have to have a domain name first, though. He needs a web designer. :-) >I should have ask before he paid that money. It sounds like it. What is ampira? -- Sandy
Guest guest
Well, maybe you can back out at the end of the month or something?? I've never heard of ampira. I pay $13.50 a year for a domain name. You have to have a website host. Then you upload your pages there. Here is a page with a directory of free website hosting companies, most of them have pay options that are a little meatier too. http://find.freehosting.net/ As for getting it into search engines, you need to submit it to the search engines and use meta tags in your coding. You can find pay options for submitting to many search engines, you can also put in the work and do it yourself. All sorts of options. Blessings, Soseneda Quidquid Latine dictum sit, altum videtur. Guest guest
Thanks Soseneda, I wish he would have told me first, cause I could have ask. Now he doesn't know if we can get our money back and he put it on our card and you never heard of this company. I will just ask for extra energy and hope we get our money back. Thanks again Love & Light BB Nightengale -- Soseneda <TheWitch wrote: > Well, maybe you can back out at the end of the month > or something?? I've > never heard of ampira.
