OKAY

as Chris mentioned- Pau D'arco is an excellent anti -fungal...drink it as a

decoction(simmered tea) use the decoction as a wash or gargle. I like the

taste.

I think a little honey in it is okay even if one has yeast- some may

disagree. In the case of yeast, warm, cooked foods are in order(no fruit,

fruit juices, cane sugar) avoid flour products and focus on whole grains,

high quality, organic meats,

Vegetables , garlic....

from " the way of herbs " by Michael Tierra

Pau D'arco- cool energy, bitter flavor

affect- blood, liver, lungs

contains Quinones- principally Lapachol- shown to have in vivo affect

against various cancers

Alterative, anti fungal,hypotensive,antidiabetic,bitter tonic,digestive,

antibacterial,anti tumor

" ...studes have been performed in Brazilian hospitals which show anti cancer

activity " (my summary)

Tierra says it is good for

ulcers,diabetes,rheumatism,leukemia,ringworm,bronchitis and other resp.

probs.,gonorrhea,cystitis,leucorrhea...one ounce of herb to one pint of

water- simmer 15-20 minutes

1 cup 3-4 times a day for acute

1/2 cup 3-4 times a day for chronic
