Ok I need some guidance, one of my elder neighbors has a

home

type paraffin spas in which to drip her hands and feet. She feels she

can't afford the

company brand prepared refills so I thought I would make some up for

her

in 1 lb units.

I seem to remember the ratio being 5 parts paraffin 1 part mineral

oil.

Has any one done this before?

Does that ratio sound correct?

Has anyone done it with anything other than mineral oil?

It would seem to me that 10ml of eo to 1 lb of the prepared

wax would be about right.

I was thinking some lavender or lavender/tea tree.

I would love to hear other thoughts and ideas.

Thanking y'all in advance,

Janet

My suggestion is not to use eo's with the paraffin - use them after with a carrier oil or inhale during the paraffin bath.

Yes, Janet- theae are the correct proportions- but use heavy mineral oil...

I tried and tried to make a beeswax dip- to no avail...perhaps the new soy wax would work? Parrafin and mineral oil are nasty.... I dont do this treatment any more....what about a fomentation?

Good Luck...
