Fire ants "sure are" an exeption!!

:) (think they came from Mars or somewhere... lol)

Something Good Fire Ants Do????

http://www.safe2use.com/pests/fireants/goodpurpose.htm

Fire ants are tick predators - normally yards with fire ants also do not

have ticks. If you have no ticks there, obviously, is less danger of disease.

They also control the ground stage of horn flies.

Their presence in sugar cane field eliminates or reduced the need for

pesticide to treat a certain caterpillar that is a scourge to sugar cane

growers - Todd Gibson

I'm fairly familiar with the lyme tic story as I may have had exposure

too... and the tests for it are known for " not working " so it is

guesses at many time...... the little thing, the tic, is the size of a

poppy seed. and the tic also used in germ warfare as a vector or

carrier... the germ carried is insidious and can be transmitted in other

ways too.. so it is pandemic or everywhere... and treated with silence

by the officials... so it is a very difficult problem....

on a different note we got 2 of the rock cornish chickens and sure

enough one was a rooster it became a 35 lb chicken and attacked often

only after puberty,, one big bad chicken ...

we will do chickens again we had many a sweet and kindly bird too...

Florida has many deer too.. so... so.. anyway interesting...

ok spare (((((hug)))))

Hi Jim,

I was tested for the heck of it since I kept getting sick after a major

surgery......(one I was on life support for over 2+ weeks)...think they

tested me for bout everything.. that one came up positive so had the family get

tested too.. they were negative. Bout 5 years ago, I'd guess?

Infectious disease specialist who'd saved my life told me that there was no way

of knowing when/where I'd gotten the legionnaire's exposure and

I sure don't know.

Anyone I know of have lyme? Sure .........remember, I'm in Florida now, but came

from CT.............and have people there who have it and also

have a friend who's sister lives in New Jersey--- their whole street - NINE

homes in a row - people all tested positive for it.. lotsa deer

there too like we had........bad thing that one is.

The lyme ticks though, aren't the one's you'd typically see, or the one's we'd

see anyways - those are wood ticks and they're rather big and

you spot them right away........the lyme ticks.. well, to put it the way a Doc

told me --- look for a freckle that moves.............meaning

chances are, you're not going to see it. People who can actually get treatment

almost right away are doing ok, the one's who didn't.. aren't.

Any other questions.. feel free to ask, k? :)

Hi Kelly,

Nope, Legionairres is a completely different thing - if you're exposed

to it.. and it causes a type of pneumonia, that " is " treatable with

anti-biotics..... but after you feel well, still stays in your system.

It was named.. after a group of.. Legionairres who contracted the

disease and some died.

We not " only " have outlets.. ROFL, we've got surfing waves too... (not

that I surf or anything... ) but I do watch! :)

Hugs,

Marilyn
