Guest guest
Hi... lol Believe it or not, good old plain cat litter works too... (we used it in a pinch back in Connecticut!) The clay-type, no additives, in other words - the cheap stuff? <grin> Hugs, Marilyn chrisziggy wrote: > Hi Carol, > > I remember something I had gotten years back in NYC that was some kind > of much more friendly to pets and landscapes natural de-icer, but I > can't remember what it was right now (maybe a magnesium salt instead > of a sodium salt???). Guest guest
Hey Carol, Darks colored and works ... it absorbs rays from the sun whereas ice reflects them .. sand gets warm and melts ice in time. Also, it gives you more traction. Won't hurt the lawn if you decide to use it on the driveway or walkway. It's not as good as salt but far less messy and salt will hurt the lawn. Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AT.com > OK, dumb question #2...... Anyone know of any natural de-icers > besides salt?
