Guest guest
Howdy folks, I have another question today What part of the country do you live in and what are you doing with your garden now to prepare it for the winter months? I live on the Front Range of Colorado. I am cutting back all of my perennials and raking all of my leaves into my planting beds and covering them with wood shavings mulch .. that way the leaf piles on the plant beds don't blow away, it provides ground protection all winter, and by next spring the leaves will have composted and I get the benefit of healthy planting beds, full of mulch which discourages weed growth and is attractive! I really find throwing away leaves to be a big waste for me being as frugal as I am .. they condition the soil so much and cost nothing! *Smile* Chris (list mom) Jasmine Sambac Absolute Co-op LAST DAYS !
