Guest guest
Chris: Have you ever considered a worm bin? Your little guy will grow to love it and it's a good way to teach recycling etc in a fun climate. larrae - > > > > What part of the country do you live in and what are you doing with your > > garden now to prepare it for the winter months? Guest guest
I live in the rainy part of washington state (zone 8) I have slowly been harvesting my herbs....dahlias are cut back then it starts raining for 40 days and 40 nightsLOL I have some peppers still growing as well as lavender still blooming. Once I get all this done then I will mulch over the bulbs and herbs so they are protected over the winter. We don't get much snow here but we do get alot of icy nights. I was looking philosophically at my perennial basil this morning & shaking my head at it's behaviour. it's been in constant flower for over two years now. When I got it I thought it was supposed to die down each winter & come back up again a coupla months later. I just wish that I owned the hive that all the basil's bees go home to each night - must be lovely honey !! > > > for FUN! Guest guest
Thanks. That sounds great, I thought that was probably what it was. Where does the word come from? Over here we, rather boringly call them birthing partners! sometimes it's the father of the baby, sometimes a friend.
