Guest guest
Okay, I will do it:) I am trying to figure out whether to order a case of jars (like 4 oz or something) or to order big bulk containers and then tins or jars to break it into. What do you think? I am looking at prices now trying to figure out the best deal. Blessings, Soseneda Quidquid Latine dictum sit, altum videtur. Guest guest
Happy Saturday Night Sose I bet bulk butter and seperate bulk jars would be less expensive .. BUT ... it may not be that much less expensive AND it is more work .. so you must figure all that in .. I can tell you though I'd be interested in purchasing pounds if you can do that .. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com leanashe wrote: >Okay, I will do it:) > >I am trying to figure out whether to order a case of jars (like 4 oz or >something) or to order big bulk containers and then tins or jars to >break it into. > >What do you think? > >I am looking at prices now trying to figure out the best deal. > >Blessings, >Soseneda > >Quidquid Latine dictum sit, altum videtur. >ICQ# 47264444 >AIM: SosenedaA >: Soseneda_Arianrhod > >Looking for herbs and other witchy supplies? >Many wonderful handmade items from Twining Vines available at The Town >Market TheTownMarket >

Guest guest
Well, if most people want pounds, then it would be much cheaper to buy containers and butter separate. But if most people want less than 8 ozs, than I would rather buy them pre-packaged:) I also found a supplier for cocoa butter. Looks to be about $8/pound or so, depending on how much we buy. Sounds like a good price to me, what do you guys think? I also am wanting to get some sweet almond oil, so I thought I might throw that in too. I found it by the gallon for $30/gallon. Good price? High price? Never bought it that big before:) Blessings, Soseneda Quidquid Latine dictum sit, altum videtur. Guest guest
I use it for body butters and lip quenchers. Shea butter is an excellent moisturizer and helps hold your body's moisture. I am just starting back with soap making so I have never tried it but plan to as I love everything I have used in it thus far. I am sure some of the professionals here can give input on amounts to use and what to use it for in place of what other ouls. HTHs At 02:13 AM 10/28/2001 +0000, you wrote: >OK dumb question time..... That is what I was thinking of, if we got containers. Every time I have ever gotten the stuff in a bag it has either bust open during shipping or it has become a huge mess in my shop shortly after. It is also impossible to scrape the inside of a plastic bag with a spatula:) I found some of those plastic type containers, they are single wall plastic with screw top lids though, they are 16 oz and $0.60 a piece. I thought that was pretty reasonable, since you can store the butter in those after you get it. As opposed to the plastic bags which will leak out oil through the pores and eventually degrade into the shea butter. I also found double wall ones, but those only went up to 8 oz. Still not a bad price on the smaller ones, and no minimum case orders. Blessings, Soseneda Quidquid Latine dictum sit, altum videtur.
