the Goddess strikes with lantern lightening on the head!!1KAZAP>>>>>!

here we have cotamundi of all things, a slinky sort of raccoon, got 2 of

our chickens...and my last rabbit...

about the outfit.. nude chicken raising the chickens have a comment..

" where the heck are your feathers? " and they tend to be offended..

fortunately didn't have to defend anything though.. their attitude alone

keeps one covered..

Michele & Marilyn, {{{{{{{{{[[ laughing }}}}}}}}}}}} That reminds me of my first experience with a rooster. My Bigmother had a game Rooster, pretty thing he was too, but he sat up on the fencpost leading to the barnyard and flogged and spurred me EVERY time I went through that fence. I hated that rooster and one day I decided he had picked on me long enough, besides, my Bigdaddy ussesd to tease me about being afraid of him Sooooooo, that day when

he jumped on me , I grabbed him by the neck and started wringing for all

I was worth> Just about that time Bigmother came to the back door ( she

heard him squawking all the way up to the house) and hollered," SISTER !

What are you doing to my rooster"? It surprised me and I let him go. Well,he went flying across the barnyard and landed in a heap by a tree. His neck was

streached out about three inches and he almost didn't get up. He got up and

moped around there for about a day and a half before he died. Funny, cause

I never could wring a chicken's neck but dI sure wrung his! LOL

PS, IF you think this is a funny story, sometime i'll tell you what I did to my Bigdaddy's prize milkcow! Deonia

I have to chime in with my chicken story - I've never knowingly hurt an

animal, heck I don't even kill bugs - many a bug transfer from our old

farmhouse to outside on a daily basis - but one night last winter, after we

had mysteriously " lost " several of our chickens, I woke to this horrendous

chicken-screaming-commotion. I grabbed the battery-operated lantern and

went running out to the coop (chickens free-range during the day but roost

in their coop at night) and ran inside to find this huuuuge raccoon holding

my favorite hen in its jaws. I started screaming at it and stomping my

feet, and it looked me in the eye and chomped again. I literally saw red -

lifted that lantern over my head and whanged the heck out of the raccoon -

no, not the smartest thing in the world to do, but my Momma Bear just took

over. The raccoon dropped my hen and made tracks. My hen survived, and of

course I felt awful for hitting that raccoon, but we didn't lose any more

chickens. Of course it was prolly the sight of me in ratty old sweats with

my hair going every which way all pissed off that scared it so...

Bright blessings,

Cindy
