Guest guest
We were talking of trees a few days back (or was it just yesterday?) and I had my camera with me this morning. It was lovely and misty, so I took a few shots. (can you tell I had time to waste today?) Michele http://www.onlinemac.com/users/jbrantner/house/misty.html -- ------ Who Wills, Can. Who Tries, Does. I usually get sex-linked hens so no roosters. I remember that we did have a rooster growing up who liked to hide behind a tree in the run and then come at you claws first! Had to take a broom in everytime we went into the run. Boy did he taste good Oh and did you clip both wings or just one? If you clip both they can still fly. Ours would dig under the fence of the run and get out that way. Then the neighborhood bobcat found free dinner all waiting for him and we went from 24 to 10 chickens that night. I do miss a good home " grown " brown egg, sigh, I can't wait until next spring! Michele -- ------ Who Wills, Can. Who Tries, Does. Michelle, watch it if you get any roosters, I started with 5 cute little chicks three years ago and two years later, I had almost fifty! All born right here. My pet chicken , Sadie, who used to ride on my shoulder everywhere I went outside, wouldn't stay off the nest! She took over my Chimminea that was sitting on my patio and I never was able to build a fire in it until I gave them all away. Loved the manure, hated chasing them when they flew away, And, yes , I did clip their wings, the little heathens just flew from tree to tree and walked over the fence. Every time I turned around, one of my neighbors was bring Sadie home. Everybody in the neighborhood knew her. LOL Deonia
