Guest guest
I should probably keep my mouth shut but all this talk about Anthrax, the mail, and how SCARY everything is NOW has hit a nerve. If you're thinned skinned then you probably won't want to read this email. I try to tell myself that a lot of people are just misinformed because they never had to deal with the real world but unfortunately a lot of people just see life through Rose Colored Glasses and ignore the way things really are and have ALWAYS been. Too many people believe that life is like the Disney movies where all the animals get along with each other and everything is one big happy, loving picnic. That is NOT the real world. YES, what the terrorists did on September 11th was a major tragedy, one I hope will NEVER be forgotten. That type of tragedy was bound to happen sometime though because of all our, " We have to treat everyone equally, and never insult or offend anyone " attitude. Everyone is NOT equal, no matter how you want to justify it. For example, I would never consider a child molester equal to a law bidding citizen, but we are forced to. No, you don't agree, how about, " they did their time " , " it's not their fault, they came from a bad environment " , " they ate twinkies " , " they got mixed up with a bad crowd " , " they are just a victim of circumstances and it could happen to any of us. " My husband and I are both retired Law Enforcement and our motto was, " You could never do enough for the good people and you could never do enough to the bad ones. " September 11th was a wake-up call to some, but I fear that the flying of flags and being patriot right now is just a trendy fad for most. We didn't have to go out and fight the crowds to buy a flag to display because we have always been proud to fly ours, EVERYDAY.... I hope my fears of it being trendy are wrong, time will tell. As for the fear of Anthrax and who knows what else in the mail, WAKE UP, dangerous, destructive, poisonous, and harmful materials have been going through the mail for years. Ask UPS about the things they haul because the Post Office won't accept them. I have responded to calls of mail bombs, body parts, and several other items that need not be mentioned, sent through the mail to unsuspecting people. Besides items being sent through the mail by terrorists, dirt bags, or whatever you label them, do you know what travels up and down your roadways, railways, and airways with approval of your city or state? Have you ever wondered what is on the door knobs of public buildings you touch, or the shopping cart you are pushing around with your baby inside. It is more likely that you will catch Hepititis from the handle of the shopping cart before you will ever catch Anthrax, Small Pox or anything else from a letter. Remember the old stories about getting pregnant from a door knob or the toilet seat?? THINK ABOUT IT!!!! Did you drive your car today? More people died today from motor vehicle accidents than will or at least have to date died from Anthrax or Small Pox in the recent past. More postal employees have been killed by psycho fellow employees in the past few years than have died due to evil letters. Some People need to jump off the band wagon and get on with their lives... Guest guest
Hi y'all, On Idma, someone asked in general about use of EOs for Anthrax .. I don't make claims but I passed along the following. My post later generated another post which I replied to - and I'll send that too as it gives (in a reverse manner) my opinion on use of EOs for tumors .. and it answers the question Deonia asked. Understand that I am speaking of last resort means of treatment when I say I would use EOs myself. Butch ------------------------ No comment on whether this is real or not .. I make no claims, but we have sold more oregano this last two weeks than we have the last three months. Seeking an Anthrax Cure in Your Spice Garden By Pallavi Gogoi Oregano may be a lot more than just a tasty herb you sprinkle on pizza and spaghetti. It could turn into the next wonder drug. The herb was celebrated by the ancient Greeks as an antidote for hemlock poisoning. But the latest research suggests it may clobber fungi and bacteria -- possibly including the virulent anthrax bug, a potential bioterrorist weapon. In recent tests on mice, Dr. Harry G. Preuss of Georgetown University Medical Center found that oregano-oil extract is just as effective as the most potent antibiotic in combating staphylococcus bacteria, which can cause deadly infections and is becoming increasingly resistant to many antibiotics. Similarly, oregano oil wipes out a fungus called Candida albicans, which causes diaper rash and other ailments. As for anthrax, animal tests haven't started yet, but Dr. Cass Ingram of North American Herb & Spice Co., who collaborates with Preuss, says oregano oil has proved effective in test-tube experiments. So it looks poised to make a big-time leap from the spice cabinet to the medicine cabinet. The following is from Business Week. http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/01_43/c3754072.htm We have around 100 or so cases of Anthrax a year here in Turkey - mostly in the East where animal husbandry is the main occupation. According to an article in the Turkish Daily News, the Ministry of Health says there have been no deaths. Some UniBomber type idiot is sending it around now .. maybe a terrorist and maybe a nut .. but it's obvious that the intent is to terrorize regardless of the identity of the perpetrator. But - maybe we have had Anthrax around us at other times .. maybe we even picked it up now and then and thought we had flu or some other bug. Nobody was searching for it before - no specific searches like we are seeing now. Maybe!! Guest guest
The biggest health worry I really have about all of this is that many folks are getting the idea that mass mandatory Anthrax and Smallpox vaccinations are the answer as well as prophylactic antibiotics. BOTH of those vaccines come with dangers that are actually admitted to openly (now that is bad) and we already have a major problem all over this country with antibiotic resistant germs cause we overuse so many synthetic antibiotics already! *Sigh* Chris http://www.alittleolfactory.com Carol wrote: > I should probably keep my mouth shut but all this talk about Anthrax, > the mail, and how SCARY everything is NOW has hit a nerve. Guest guest
Chris, I totally agree with this. I think that this is all part of those inflecting fear on our country. They know very well the ramifications of these vaccinations and over use of antibiotics. Guest guest
Hi All, Add to that this, the smallpox vaccine they're currently " trying to get produced " can cause.............illness and even death; from the 'actual vaccine. Hugs, Marilyn Read on..........This is from a post that I'd sent to another person: UN's smallpox terror alert > > War on Terrorism: Observer special > > Anthony Browne, health editor > Sunday October 21, 2001 > The Observer > > Governments around the world have been warned to > prepare against a > terrorist smallpox attack which could kill millions. > The World Health > Organisation has told them to ensure they can > produce enough vaccine to > protect their population against the disease, and is > preparing to order > mass precautionary vaccination of all citizens. > 'The unthinkable is no longer unthinkable and we > need to prepare for > that,' said a spokesperson for the WHO, the United > Nations' health > agency.
