Hey Butch-

That was indeed interesting stuff- never smelled anything like it before. I

will be sure to keep some as a " vintage " !! I like it for making deodorant

spray, too- very nice with a bit of your sage and lemon tea tree. So what

did you do with those lavandin plants? Get rid of them and plant the

stoechas? Hmm. I do like the stoechas as well- I use that to spritz around

the house and for many other potions...he he hwa hwa....

To anyone who is interested- This Lavandin is nothing like anything youve

ever smelled before(dont think of lavender!!) Chris still has some!! This is

your chance to have some of the Anatolian variety on wild Lavandin for your

collection- a truly rare oil!

Hey Michelle,

Guess what .. there will be no more of that Turkish Lavandin .. I had

the first and last batch distilled .. it is history now. When I first

found that unattended field growing wild .. yes .. wildgrown .. not a

clone .. I didn't know what I had. Wasn't sure if it was a lavender or

a lavandin.

Had it harvested and distilled .. sent samples to Professor Baser, Dr.

Rob Pappas and Michel Vanhove in France .. the final conclusion was that

it was a unique lavandin and as there was no classification to compare

it with the name I chose was Lavandula x. intermedia var. Anatolia. It

is all sold now and that field is no longer unattended ... it is growing

Lavender (Lavandula stoechas) now.

Just some interesting trivia .. there will be no more of that one.
