Guest guest
Sandy, Chris, and others, I use to clean these measurements are drops to quart of water of soapy (Castile) water. 10 lemon 8 Lavender vera 3 Eucalyptus 3 Tea Tree 3 Palmarosa I do play around at the beginning of each season. Sometimes Cedarwood, Orange, Fir or Lemon, Orange, Tea Tree, Lavander and Cedar. I do love the clean fresh smell and I have noticed when people come to the house for the first time they will usual ask within a very few minutes, what smells so good. Hope this gives you some creative ideas. Janet ---------- " May those that love us love us. And those that do not love us, May the good Lord turn their hearts. Guest guest
I just mopped all of my hardwood floors and to the mop water I added unscented wood oil soap and a little bit of Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil. Then I washed the kitchen and bathroom top to bottom, including floors, with a combination of Water, Baking Soda and an Essential Oil blend containing Tea Tree, Rosemary, Oregano and Lavender *Smile*Chris (list mom) Happy Halloween! I plan to spend part of today and tomorrow doing a lot of cleaning myself, and I want to use essential oils. I don't have any unscented wood soap (and no money to buy any), but I have Murphy's Oil Soap. Is that OK? It's scented, but would adding eo's to it be a good idea? Which eo's should I add? This would be for a wood floor. For the kitchen floor, did you not use any soap? Just baking soda and water? How much essential oils? I don't have any oregano, so could I use a substitute for that one? Also, does anyone have any ideas about using eo's in dish water? I'm feeling kinda clueless here and just need a little guidance. :-) -- Sandy

I like to add Lemon Myrtle or Lemon Tea Tree ... or if there is a cold going around a bit of Eucalyptus > > For the kitchen floor, did you not use any soap? Just baking soda and > water? I clean the floors almost every day because of the little one so they are pretty clean anyway .. but you can add a bit of castile soap or grated soap to the water, not a lot is needed as the soap isn't what cleans, it is the water .. the soap just softens the water to make it clean better Baking soda and borax are great to use too! > How much essential oils? Use anything you like I use oregano cause it smells nice and has anti-bacterial (and potentially anti-viral) properties. > > Also, does anyone have any ideas about using eo's in dish water?
