Recipe: Chris' Applesauce Spice Cake

> 2 1/2 C. Flour

> 2 Cups Sucanat or Brown Sugar

> 2 Cups Unsweetened Applesauce

> 1/2 Cup (1 stick) Butter

> 1/2 Cup Water or Apple Juice(if you have a sweet tooth)

> 2 Eggs

> 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

> 1 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda

> 1/2 tsp. Salt

> 1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract

> 1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

> 1/2 tsp. Cloves

> 1/2 tsp. Allspice

> 1/2 tsp. Nutmeg

> 1 cup each Raisins and Walnuts (Optional)

> Powdered Sugar For Dusting Cakes

> Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour 2 cake pans or get cupcake pans

> ready with papers. Combine all ingredients, except powdered sugar,

stirring

> in raisins and walnuts last. Pour into pans. Bake in the top 1/3 of the

oven

> for about 30 minutes or until done.. when a toothpick inserted into the

> center comes out clean. (*Note*: Cupcakes cook faster than full size

cakes)

> Cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar :)

What do you mean almost. I'm sure that you are

a chef where ever you cook. Just don't get the big

bucks for doing what you love. My oldest daughter

shares the same passion.. She did it for a living for

awhile till she had to chase 5 boys around the house!

Chris' Applesauce Spice Cake

 

2 1/2 C. Flour

1/2 tsp. Cloves

1/2 tsp. Allspice

1/2 tsp. Nutmeg

1 cup each Raisins and Walnuts (Optional)

 

Powdered Sugar For Dusting Cakes

 

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour 2 cake pans or get cupcake pans

ready with papers. Combine all ingredients, except powdered sugar, stirring

in raisins and walnuts last. Pour into pans. Bake in the top 1/3 of the oven

for about 30 minutes or until done.. when a toothpick inserted into the

center comes out clean. (*Note*: Cupcakes cook faster than full size cakes)

Cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar :)
