OT: Getting Files Back Now

Chris keeps it a guarded secret, but now we know..... you are a gem. Isn't

she have some computer problems too?

Hi y'all,

 

A week or ten days ago I wrote some lists that I had locked up files. A

young feller worked a bunch this week and got them all open except maybe

half those from 23 August onward .. this morning, we were able to

retrieve them and copy into Word ... so now, I'm going through them to

see if I owe anybody a reply. There are 2,600 plus pages there so

pulling them up is like trying to empty a barrel of molasses with a

teaspoon in January in Helena, Montana ... ;-p

 

What caused my files problem? Why did they lock up? Trying to get

this machine to exceed it's capability by around 500% caused it. Being

kinda hard-headed and not listening to folks who warned me caused it.

Bad luck caused it. But I sho'nuf learned something from this

pain-in-the-butt problem .. I learned ... uh ... uh ... I learned to

cross my fingers and hope for better luck next time I try to get this

machine to exceed it's capability by 500% ... ;-)

 

So - if you think I didn't reply to you on something, it ain't that I

was being rude or ignoring, and I'll be finding what I owe you sometime

today.
