Hi all

Sorry to do this on Chris' List, but since I killed my own 2, I've decided

to share this with YOU lucky people! :-)

As most of you know, I'm 8 months pregnant. Also as some of you know my

husband is an Electronic Design Engineer in Silicon Valley.

Well, the company he works for is a solid little company. There have been no

layoffs etc. In FACT, it's been just the opposite, Stocks going up (until

Sept 11. anyway), awards coming left and right. In other words, no reason to

worry. Especially for The Husband, he's THE expert in what he does for this

company and they need him. He's been his same old self, no changes etc, no

worries etc.

Well, the past couple of day's I've been in panic mode (sort of and

quietly). I've been thinking things like NOW would NOT be a good time for

him to lose his job, we need the insurance, only another month till the baby

is due etc., CHANGE IS NOT GOOD! I have been convinced that SOMETHING was

going to happen.

This morning coincidence nodded his/her head. CHANGE IS NOT ALWAYS BAD!

His company is merging with another bigger company! Talk about WHOA! The

whole thing was decided last night...Even husband was FLOORED.

It's been a long time since I've had a " hunch " about something. I think it

must be due to the pregnancy. I used to have them alot in my teens. It used

to freak me out. Then for YEARS nothing. I thought I had " lost " the freakies

(usually about bad or stupid things, so I wasn't sorry to see them go).

A LITTLE about the Freakies...they run in the family, through the

Scotch/Irish side of the family. Some people call it " the Gift " . Me, I like

to call them " the Freakies " . Mine USUALLY come through dreams and are

totally useless, because the dream is almost ALWAYS forgotten until the

event happens. Then there is like a click, and the dream and the event slide

together.

Once in a while, (Like when my brother sliced his arm open on a trip to

Canada, or when the puppy had a hole in his heart) I 'know " .

Well, I don't know if I'm glad to see that I haven't completely lost the

freakies or not, but I expect it will disappear again after the baby is

born.

Enough about the freakies, sorry for boring you. Wait till my MOTHER hears

THIS one...LOLOL.

Cosmically!

Hi Kathleen,

What " 2 of your own " did you kill? I am very glad Hubby's job is

secure and things appear to be going good. Silicon Valley is a tough

area to work in with all the big changes going on. Had friends (yes

I do have more than one) that were involved in a thriving computer

business down there and then all of a sudden it was over....

Actually, after all the dust cleared it was the best thing for them,

they moved out of the state to a nice rural community and are now

happy as larks. " The Gift " is a privilege and a great thing to have,

be glad about it.

Kathleen:

Glad you posted about the 'freakies'. I have had those for years and would

about freak out when some of the dreams happened. I don't call it a gift

either. I thought I was just having intellectual overloads. LOL Thanks

for everything, you are one heck of a woman. Hope your child birth goes

great (if a person can say great or ow, ow, ow).

Best to you,

Love

Effie
