Guest guest
Sevi, What is the latest information on helping out the pets that have been affected by this disaster? I don't want to post any old outdated info .... *Smile* Chris http://www.alittleolfactory.com
Guest guest
Hi Chris :-) Here is what I could gather - 1) I got a call from FEMA Donations and they have told me that the SAR dogs are well equipped and do not need any supplies. If anyone needs to find out for themselves can call them at (202)-646-2452. 2) I know that there is a way people can donate money to ASPCA for the pets that were affected to the NYC tragedy. Here is more info http://mundoco.com/asandisrelfu.html 3) There are some pets in NYC still waiting for their humans to come home - if you are in the area and would like to foster a sweet pet, please call the New York Center for Animal Control at 1-888-567-8123 to be put on the list. 4) If you have lost your pet in NYC, The ASPCA has also set up a hotline (212) 876-7700 ext. 4PET (4738). for those pet owners that have pets stranded in evacuated areas. The hotline is designed to provide guidance and support to distressed owners. I think we all want to help. We all feel that this has not only happened to people that have lost their lives and their families, but it has happened to us! We feel the loss, we are hurting and we feel as one. With that said - I also want to ask each one of you to be careful when you want to reach out and help. Please donate to organizations such as Red Cross, Salvation Army, ASPCA etc. as there are, though a few, some that are praying on generous people. Thank you for being here, listening and caring. God Bless USA and all of us!
