Guest guest
Hi everyone. Here's what we've got: Water Extracted Olive Pomace Oil (No Solvents) for soap makers $ 2.80 per lb $12.80 per gallon(Approx $1.60 per pound) $56.00 5 gallon (Approx $1.40 per pound) $96.00 10 gallon (Approx $1.20 per pound) plus actual shipping charges For anything a gallon or over (or for anyone who requests it on a lighter package) I will compare shipping between USPS and UPS to see who can get you the better shipping rate. Saving money is the name of the deal here ;-) Pomace oil is extracted from the skins and seeds (the residue) after the extraction of the olive oils. It's normally extracted with hexane, and if the hexane is properly removed, it's suitable for use in cosmetics and soaps - but it's not always properly removed. The other method is water extraction - and this is, in my opinion, and the opinion of others, the preferred method. Pomace is used in soaping because it's less expensive, but there are those in the trade who believe it makes a better soap due to the higher fat content - as much as 20%. I think that about covers everything, and if anyone has any questions, please ask. Have a great night! *smile* chris
