Guest guest
Take the chill off with pinecone fire starters You won't need much in the way of materials or time to make this craft: - Place a large metal can, like a coffee can, in a pan of water on the stove. - Put broken pieces of wax (old candles, paraffin or special candle wax) into the can and melt on medium to low heat until you have enough to cover your largest cone. - If you wish, you may add coloring and essential oils made for candles (available at craft stores). - Tie a string around a few of the scales of the cone. Holding the string, dip cone into the liquid wax. Remove and hold over the can until dripping stops. Place on wax paper and let harden completely. Remove string once cool. To use: Arrange in a basket or other container (essential oils can damage wood finishes). Place the pinecone on top of the kindling and light the edge of one of the scales. >> http://www.homestead.com/gdsc Handmade Soaps http://www.homestead.com/the_graham_family/home.html Graham Family website AOL IM - RoseLayde ICQ - 25636549
