Amber oil...

I always doubted amber oil was a true essential oil, since amber

comes from fossilized plants and is hard as a rock. But today I found

this:

from lesser quality amber, which is fossilized pine resin millions of

years old... TRUE AMBER OIL IS EXTREMELY RARE.

And I thought we could try to find it! I guess we can find anything,

right? And I am curious about the ambergris too, whale sperm? What

exactly is this oil, I never heard of it... I don't want to get it!!!

I'm against killing whales and elephants to get skin, teeth, oils or

ivory... Just curious about the oil's properties or effects.

 

 

And what about musk... it comes from goats, right? It's an animal

substance they spread in the air when it's mating time or

something... We call it almíscar here. I bet this doesn't exist as

an

EO. But I'm also sure it has therapeutic properties, since it's an

animal extract... Do you know anything about these scents? Do you

know where we can find it?

i've never seen real amber oil. i dunno much about it, but i'll ask

around in some circles (try the lists too).

as for ambergris, its a kind of whale vomit that turns hard and sweet

smelling in the sun. its found floating on the ocean or they kill

whales for it. its all synthetic now. i have a chunk of the real

stuff, but i got it from someone who had it for a long time who got

it from someone who had it for a long time.

musk, and civet come from the male organs of animals (civet cat) they

scraped the testicles - awwww poor kitty!

i don't think any of the animal products are easy to get these days

and ambergris is the only one that smells good (heavenly is more like

it), maybe we'll find a chunk floating on the ocean one day. *lol*
