Guest guest
Just wondering about some of my favorite scents as far as essential oils. Does the bitter almond have a nice smell? I love the almond extract smell! and speaking of extract can i make my own almond like the vanilla? Also can anyone direct me to so good jasmine? I need some to make candles with mom wants those for Xmas. *hugs* Sarah --- Sarah Ihle --- ihle --- EarthLink: It's your Internet.
Guest guest
bitter almond goes a long way, but yes that is the stuff that " smells like almonds " . i don't know about making almond extract, lets all poke around and see what we can find, the essential oil is not edible. so good jasmine, or not so good jasmine? *lol* if you want to extend good jasmine which is $$ add Ylang, they blend nicely and both have that heady floral scent, but if you are looking for fragrance oils i can locate those too - if you want :-) keep in mind, they have no therapeutic value though. *smile* chris the_oil_co-op , " Sarah Ihle " <ihle@e...> wrote: > Just wondering about some of my favorite scents as far as essential oils. > Does the bitter almond have a nice smell? Guest guest
K cool I'll have to get some good bitter almond. I know i am a dork but I was so sad that my sweet almond oil has no smell LOL. Um as far as jasmine I'm not sure what therapudic qualities it has. As far as I know it is good for menstruation and depression (correct me if I'm wrong I'm new LOL) and both are great for a menopause mom hehe so defiantly the good stuff she's worth the $$. I want it for candles and soap so I'll use Ylang like you mentioned. Thanks bunches now i gotta go find almond info whahooo. Lets get crafting ladies there has to be great therapy in this! *hugs* Sarah > [Original Message] > <cl-chrisziggy > <the_oil_co-op > > 8/13/2000 2:18:26 PM > [the_oil_co-op] Re: Almond Oil > > bitter almond goes a long way, but yes that is the stuff that > " smells > like almonds " . i don't know about making almond extract, lets all > poke around and see what we can find, the essential oil is not > edible. > so good jasmine, or not so good jasmine? *lol* if you want to extend > > good jasmine which is $$ add Ylang, they blend nicely and both have > that heady floral scent, but if you are looking for fragrance oils i > > can locate those too - if you want :-) keep in mind, they have no > therapeutic value though. > *smile* > chris > > > the_oil_co-op , " Sarah Ihle " <ihle@e...> wrote: > > Just wondering about some of my favorite scents as far as > essential > oils. > > Does the bitter almond have a nice smell?
