Guest guest
First of all, I wanna say hi to Lois, Sarah and Michele )) And Chris, I saw your polls and voted, of course, that was a great idea you had! Sorry for forgeting the oils last post, could you save 1 oz oregano for me? And if the is some anise or lemon myrtle left after Kate's and Andrea's buys, don't forget to tell me. I have a sugestion. Think we should try to find out those really expensive oils (rose, jasmine, and some more) and get them at wholesale price, that would be really nice. They're so expensive not everyone can buy decent quantities of them. Like me LOL I can't afford to pay $18.00 for 2 ml of rose oil! If you find something on these kind of oils, please tell us. What do you all think? Hugs for all, Lena
Guest guest
There's another one I'd like to add to the "search for list" I'd like to get some Valerian oil. It's my favorite herbal, and I'm sure it would be great for the bath. There is no rush though, just something to keep in mind, especially if others are interested. I know we are considering carrier oils for an upcoming buy, I would be interested in sweet almond and apricot kernel oils (I bought a Bert's Bees sampler kit and it had a small jar of Baby Bee's baby oil, made with apricot kernel oil instead of mineral oil. Oh the texture is so wonderful, not that feeling you get with regular baby oil) Thanks! Kate - Lena the_oil_co-op Sunday, August 06, 2000 12:00 PM [the_oil_co-op] Sorry! Guest guest
I'd like to add Chamomile and sandalwood to the list of expensive oils that I'd like to get. I use them in my candles, but they are very costly. And Oooh! I got the bert's bees sampler kit too and I LOVE the baby oil! I actually use it in my hair (it's very dry) and it's wonderful. Smiles! Guest guest
Michelle, How do you use it in your hair. As an after shampoo conditioner? Then do you wash it out? Or leave in? Also, if you leave in, how long and do you wrap it up? My hair is the pits and can use any help it can get! Thanks! Kate - MB the_oil_co-op Sunday, August 06, 2000 7:35 PM Re: [the_oil_co-op] Sorry! Guest guest
Hi Kate, I use a couple of drops of oil as a leave-in conditioner after I towel dry my hair. I rub it between my palms and then rub it into my hair. I have hair down to the middle of my back. It took a little bit of experimentation to find out the right amount to use, if I used too much, my hair looked greasy. I also perm my hair every 1.5 years and the oil helps the frizzies. I'm going to start using it as a hot oil treatment also, I found some good recipes in the Herbal Body book by Stephanie Tourles. Let me know and I'll send you a recipe or two! Hope this helps! Smiles! Michele ---------- " Kate " <elementalchick <the_oil_co-op > Re: [the_oil_co-op] Sorry! Forgot to ask for the leftovers... Sun, Aug 6, 2000, 19:06 Michelle, How do you use it in your hair.
