Guest guest
Estim: Electrical stimulation. Yes, 5 weeks is too long; 24 hours after the event is best. Guest guest
I think i can answer for the original writer to say that 'estim' refers to electro-stim acupuncture. I think the time issue is that the earlier following the event the better. But any time is probably better than not at all. ann estim: even stimulation? is this what you mean? i'm not going to see her for 5 more weeks, has anyone any experience? I have written information on scalp acupuncture in my files somewhere, and can dig it out. The hurry: is 5 weeks leaving it too long? what kind of results have people had? >Message: 1 > Wed, 10 Mar 2004 11:17:37 -0800 (PST) > John Garbarini <johnlg_2000 >Re: stroke > >Scalp acupuncture, with estim, on opposite side. >Hurry- JG >--- Nicole Wallis <nicole_wallis wrote: > > > > Hi all, > > > > I'm curious if anyone here has had much to do with > > rehabilitation after a > > stroke. Guest guest
The traditional scalp acupuncture along with " cerebellum " area acupuncture has helped my patients standing up, walking out of the wheel chair and threw away the cane. The latest one, with ~4.5cm bleeding spot, stood up on his own by the 5th session, walking (slowly) with a walker on his own by the 7th session, walking with a cane by the 12th session, and walking without a cane with near normal speed after the 18th session, all done within < 2 months of the stroke. You can imagine how happy the patient and his family became! Go get it! Mike L.
