Guest guest
Hi, all, Have a 38 y/o male pt who under went surgery 12/15/03, for an Acoustic Neuroma (rare)tumor at cranial 8 nerve. Nerve was severed and is not repairable. Consequently, right side of his face is paralysed, including right ear, nostril, eyelid. He has had 3 more surgeries for eyelid repair, ending up with a small weight to help the lid close. Scar is from ear up side of head almost to BL line. He is on Attenenal for benign tremors (began rx 2 yrs ago). Other than that, off all post surgery drugs. Tx: left side scalp w/e-stim, ST 36, LI 4, ashi surgical scar right side, right BL 2 towards BL 2 and right Bitong; tiger thermie scar and all right side face. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. BTW, his surgeon told him to wait several months before he did any other treatment! Fortunately, another MD (Oriental descent) told him to get acupuncture Now! So he came in today. Blessing is that his insurance company has agreed to pay for it 90%. They do have a heart! Thank you, Pam Price
