Guest guest
There is NO such thing specifically as Florida Animal acupuncture law. What is it that you are looking for? Are you a Chapter 457 licensee seeking to do animal acupuncture? Guest guest
I would think you would need to get clearance as to the law as it is written by the Florida State Veterinary Medical Practice Act.I am a veterinarian and a graduate of Chi Institute in Reddick, Florida and in any state you usually need to be a licensed veterinary medical doctor in good standing in order to stick needles into an animal because that is an invasive process included in the definition of the practice of veterinary medicine.Chi, IVAS and the program at Colorado State and Tufts trains many Doctors of Veterinary Medicine in the proper use of Acupuncture and looking on the lists of graduates for each state, Florida for one is already well laced with educated and licensed Veterinary Acupuncurists.I would hope that a professional from a human program would honor this just like you would not want the Veterinarians invading your terrain and start treating the people in the area where their practice is located. Also, there are quite a few and more every day that are already Graduate Professional Veterinary Medical Doctors whom are also then carrying their education into and through the Human Acupuncture Schools and are thusly doubly certified, this could be a 10 year path you might consider if you would also want to hang out a shingle and treat animals......Respectfully submitted, Dr. Patricia Jordan > " RANDY R " <tcmgyn >Chinese Medicine >Chinese Medicine >Re: vet acup >Wed, 10 Mar 2004 23:27:22 -0500 > > > > >Hi Richard, >Yes I am a L.Ac, AP, Dipl Ac/ OM. in Fl.
