(The presentation here demonstrates what Claude Larre and Elizabeth Rochat de la Vallee mention in a postscript in their book on the QiJing BaMai as the Daoist view of the 8 Extraordinary Channels in terms of process.) (I have a copy somewhere, not at hand). Leon Hammer wrote " Dragon Rises, Red Bird Flies " which is about Chinese medicine and psychology. Guest guest
Altho I don't have details w me, I was taught a long long time ago, an interesting description of 8 extra connections and emotional energy. Still, the concept of seas or resevoirs of pre and post natal qi hold to this model too, and implies a deep connection w embriotic development-(essence, yuan qi, san jiao, Kid qi, and so on), into formation and post birth functioning of more complex organ systems through to stable adult channel period. Then the 'large circuit' qi kung is used to fill ordinary and then overflow into 8 extra channels. That's complicated, but most people seem to do it naturally to a big extent I guess. When they are happy and relaxed. Not in deep meditation necessarily at all, but enthused and infused. Imagine an 8 faceted diamond, standing on its point, the other point being vertical and at the top, the highest. The lines of the octahedron represent the channels,(for example, the encircling horizontal line would be the Dai channel). The intersecting lines have thier points along the lines, and at thier junctions. This is an image at the core, or more inside of an 3D energetic 'body'. There is a layer outside the octahedron which communicates in full duplex, or two way, between the 8-extra meridian core and the outer ordinary(!) multi-faceted organ/channels form. What is communicated, can be sumarized clinically by an excess, a contented fullness, or a deficiency. But really the picture can involve any of all our concious and subconcious experience or content and ambition, and also the dynamic and static physical manifestation, with its history. The core of the core is the central Ren/Du channel, running vertically down from the top point or zenith to the bottom tip, or nadir, then back up the opposite side of the diamond. First to be and last to go. Like lightning awareness; pure yang, and like perfect sleeping seed; pure yin. The rest of extraordinary then ordinary channels systems emerge and branch from this circuit-line, and in time become fully interdependent yet somewhat independent, functional, and integrated into the daily life of the being. My speech is convoluted, but it is a fascinating topic with some approaches for clinic. I'll try to draw picture along with info, as an attachment some time, but I won't have much time for a bit. I don't want to do a half-ass job, but I have to go. A lot of end-result tx protcol for 8 extra is similar to what is around. peace kunlun4141 <kunlun4141 wrote: Thank you for the info.
