I have not treated gunshot wounds, but I would try the following:

1. " Circle the dragon " with 3-5 needles in the healthy skin just

outside the edges of the entry wound.

2. Add LI04, BL23 and LV03 (all good analgesic points)

3. Advise patient to take homeopathic Arnica (c30) + Hypericum

(C30) for 1 week and see what happens.

I hesitate to comment on CHM, but I understand that many

soldiers in the Far East have Yunnan Baiyao in their kitbags for

use when thsy are wounded. The powder is said to be used

topically (immediately after receiving the wound), but can also be

taken orally in the days afterwards.

Any comments from experienced herbalists on Yunnan Baiyao in

such cases?

Best regards,

Hi Phil & Marco, et al,

I'd try scalp needles for the hands and fingers.

Yunnan Baiyao would be good for this, if you have it. Take it orally.

Short of Yunna Baiyao, use San Qi powder instead.
