Guest guest
Pete et al I was asked by Attillo for a biography some time ago but have not replied - sorry. I am a Dr.TCM practicing outside of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in a seaside city called White Rock. We have been granted Dr. of TCM status by our provincial government in 2003 and have been licensed with our college of TCM which you might wish to visit at www.ctcma.bc.ca to note by-laws and qualifications for granting Dr. status in your country. My practice has a large number of geriatric patients, diabetic, stroke etc. and I have been doing treatments in the hospitals here as well as my clinic. The hospitals have allowed dispensing of TCM formulas under the permission of the attending and head physician as long as they are in tableted form or capsule with proper documentation and waivers are signed by patients. In response to your patient with neuropathy, I would first say that you might want to find a copy of Bob Flaws the Treatment of Diabetes Mellitus with . Your patient might not be diabetic but Bob is very good on his treatment of neuropathy. I can say that I have had very good results with two patients who had neuropathies in the lower limbs with deep vein arteriosclerosis and damp heat puritus. They both have similar kidney yin deficiencies, blood stasis and damp heat in the lower limbs. You might want to look at this formula and do your own adjustments especially in relation to the skin and damp heat parts. Also, I have found that in this sole of the foot area, I like to do the huatuojiaji points at L2-L5. and into the sacral foramen. If the tendons at the achilles and the calcaneous is tight increase Bai Shao and add Zhi Gan Cao w/ Shen Jin Cao & Qian Nian Jian. Guest guest
Hi Rod! I have that book by Bob Flaws. It is of little application in my clinic because almost all of Bob's recommendations presuppose the facility to mix various single herbs into formulas, and this I cannot do due to space limitations. This is in addition to the problem that patients will not trouble themselves to boil a decoction. I have a hard enough time getting them to take pills. When they do take pills, they expect an immediate effect and do not have the patience to let the patent herb protocol build them up. I will try your point recommendations on his next visit. Guest guest
Tho I know this is a controversial therapy, plum blossum or seven star needle tapping can often rescue body surface areas, but beware the blood of course. About the child w terminal cancer. If wished, I would if she were closer, agree to 3 hrs a day of qi kung/acupressure/ breath and possibly herb therapy and energized blood transfusion- I am AB+, to try to turn things around, and as usual, on a sliding scale, say, for nothing. Is that agreeable? peace Pete Theisen <petet wrote: Hi Rod! I have that book by Bob Flaws.
