Guest guest
The forum's Digest #345 can't be operned by my email program. Probably due to some corruption on downloading. It's very large (70KBytes), bot Digest #330, which was 71KBytes does not have this problem. If it could be re-sent to me individually, I would be gratefull. to: I prefer having copies of the large digests to store locally, as it's easier to read and to back later and search for topics or key words than to try to access the messages on-line at . Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi Chris, Another excellent moderator question! All daily digest's are constructed and sent by the program behind the scenes. This is something that I do not have control over, although it would be helpful if I did. I will send an email to support and ask for further guidance on this situation, however, in the meantime, to retrieve all the messages i will get a fellow member to forward you their daily digest (if it isn't corrupted). If it still has the same problem then you have to access the messages via the group's web site. (Have turned the members section back on the other day). Guest guest
Dear Attilio, I see where this question is coming from. I too have trouble following threads on because it takes so much time to retrieve a single message - especially if one does not have broadband or if one is a long way away and the lines of communication are not reliable. Perhaps it would be possible to create a digest-archive by sending DD's to a created for that purpose alone. If you created a group called TCM-digest and within that group had a recipient through which anyone could access the Messages, then you would be able to bring in a day's messages at a time. Doing a search over months or years would then be much more efficient. At least until come up with something better than their existing setup. [ Don't hold you breath waiting for a reply from them :-] Anyhow, I'll set one up next to pc-art and see how it works. Cheers, Sammy. To change your email settings, i.e. individually, daily digest or none, visit the groups' homepage: Chinese Medicine/ click 'edit my membership' on the right hand side and adjust accordingly. To send an email to <Chinese Medicine- > from the email account you joined with. You will be removed automatically but will still recieve messages for a few days. Guest guest
Excellent idea Sammy, I've set up the TCM Daily Digest group, BUT cannot add this group's email address as a member in the new group as it doesn't recognise the group's email address as an email address. Go figure. So its not quite working as yet. Maybe i might set up a email account called TCMDailyDigest for the group to all access. What do you think? Anyone else in IT have any ideas?
