Guest guest
Who is Dr. H. Peter? If you do not know, please do not say anything about it. Who said or told you or where did you read that the physician in China do not generally use acupuncture to treat psoriasis? You will mislead people. " Dr.H.Peter " <medoriental wrote:Juliana! The physician in China do not generally use acupuncture to treat psoriasis However, several unkontrolled studies have shown that acupuncture is an effective treatment for psoriasis, combined with phototherapy,(ULT = Ultraviolet Laser Therapy),but this works only with a light - sensitizing drug on the skin. Before treatment you shoud remove any loose scale, then i moisturize the skin with Cinnamonleaf Oil and Wintergreen Oil. The treatment with acupuncture : Well, there is a clear anecdotal and scientifice evidence that stress can trigger or agravate psoriasis, therfore i need a exact Diagnosis of the patients to develope an acupuncture protocol. I am presently researching Psoriasis for a term paper. Does anyone have a good rescource for treatment with TCM? I have found only a few and would like to involve more input. I have treated a 17 year old female in the clinic, she did get substatial improvement with acupuncture and herbal decoction (internal and external application). However teenagers being what they are she had a hard time staying on the regime and discontinued treatment when she had aproximately 80% improvement with hair returning to affected lesion sites and reduction in itching with overall improvement in underlying condition. This is a very disheartning condition from both a WM and TCM perspective. What can we do to help?? Any input is much appreciated.
