I heard and read the heart(emperor) should never be treated directly too,at least more so in older times. One had to use pericardium or small intestine,or sanjiao, or kidney, or other depending on diagnosis. But now, the hrt channel is often used, for emotional, and esp for problems with it's own organ(l don't hear that many uses outside of 4-6-or8 needle technique, or jing well use, of a hrt pt to treat another channel's problem). Pts like hrt1,3,7,9 with per1,2,6 and ren17 with lower pts like st36 to draw qi down, can help in keep someone during hrt attack alive till emergency room is reached. At those times we may have just a bit too little too late, and need allopathic intervention. There are good strong patents, but almost myocardial infarctions are blockage, and I don't have I.V. morphine or clog-buster drugs, or a lab across the hall. In today's hrt disease pandemic, and go go go hectic lifestyles, there just isn't much time for treating oneself well. Health care delivery systems are crisis based, not so much preventative. And long term preventative therapies are needed, but are too expensive for commonperson, as they are not provided for. But younger and healthier people are getting diseases in past seen only in elderly and those in poor health. Is not just eat right, relax, get exercise, and be moderate in vices. Food is changed, air and stress level are bad. Something else is going on all over, a separation from natural living? The hundredth sick monkey? SiteBuilder - Free web site building tool. Try it!
