Guest guest
Anyone treat this? She has had breast cancer last year and underwent tamoxifen to block estrogen then developed lichen planus in mouth, genitals and legs. In the mouth it is a powdery white smooth appearance in patches. on the skin dry crusty pale red and brown. Can be painful or just irritating. She also has noc sweat, afternoon fatigue, joint aches, cloudy urine, alot of spider veins on the legs, vaginal dryness, poor cognitive ability since the tamoxifen. Tongue is purplish red with powdery white patches, and pulse is wiryR, threadyL and slightly rapid. I've been treating yin deficiency and clearing heat and moving liver qi. Minor bupleurum and TangKuei 18 (tonify yin, blood and move liver qi - 7forest/ITM formula)She has responded but having ups and downs (only four treatments so far). I think her medical history is very interesting especially because I have a colleague who had lichen sclerosis who cleared it up entirely with progesterone cream. My patient can not do this however due to progesterone receptor positive tumor type. Any input? Nicole Hohmann
