EHPA – THE FUTURE OF HERBAL MEDICINE IN THE UK AND EUROPE

 

Professor Mike Pittilo, Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University of

Hertfordshire and Chair of the Herbal Medicine Regulatory Working

Group, will be making a presentation at 4pm on Wednesday 4 February

(Room P8 Middlesex University-Enfield Campus-Queensway, Enfield,

Middlesex) on the recently published recommendations on the

regulation of herbal practitioners in the UK.

 

The talk will include:

 

1. Background to the regulation of herbal medicine practitioners,

including the House of Lords report and Government Response.

 

2. Terms of reference and composition of the Herbal Medicine

Regulatory Working Group (HMRWG).

 

3. Key recommendations from the HMRWG.

 

4. Next steps, including the Department of Health Public Consultation

on herbal medicine and acupuncture.

 

5. Implications for students.
