For better or for worse. I would have said the same thing until just a few days ago I read the latest Molly Ivins column. Very interesting reading. She got told that Howard Dean was happenin'. She dismissed it but went off to see Howard and wrote her column. In it she suggests that Howard Dean represents something new along the lines of John Kennedy of times past who became the first "television president". She and others claims that Howard's got legs and is likely to become the first "Internet president". Then all of a sudden former V.P. Gore shows up yesterday and throws the weight of the Democratic Party behind Howard Dean. That's a little weird ... or it's a sign. I'm intrigued to say the least. I guess, more to the point, this seems to be a sign regarding the Internet as much as it's a sign of anything else. At any rate, this whole thing has my attention ... as you would say, for better or worse. I was a bit disappointed with the election in San Francisco, so I'm turning my attention to new horizons.
