Guest guest
Hi Phil, I'm really watching for the replies to your posting. For about 2 seconds I thought about posting a question on another list I belong to, " deafillinois " (for Deaf people who live in Illinois, USA); if anyone has ever heard anything about deafness being cured with any Asian medicine. I know I couldn't dare to cross post the actual letter because a large portion of the membership of 1472 would reply with, " and the problem is? " or that their parents took them to every weird therapy one could imagine and nothing worked. (And if it had worked, why would they still be dwelling in the Deaf World. They would have gone on with their lives. Right?) My trade is shiatsu and I realize there are major limitations to the tools I work with. (That is why I'm going on to study the rest of Asian med.) BUT, I imagine if someone was going deaf something could be done by way of herbs and acupuncture but deafness isn't the etiology. Deafness is merely a symptom of an underlying adventure. Whatever caused the child to be deafened could be fixed but wouldn't the nerves in his ears still be dead? or has Asian medicine discovered a method of initiating mitosis in nerve cells? or am I not understanding the question?
