Guest guest
I thought after the conversion of a couple months ago that this may be of interest. You can see that captive animals fed by humans will have a severely altered intake of fatty acids. This definitely has an effect on the health of the animal and eventually, if the animal is used to feed people as in commercial meats and milk, the effect on humans over time is enormous. The most common feed for captive animals is corn and for most fisheries including most Salmon sold in the states, is soy. I read an article that pointed out the differences in the EFA levels in Salmon between wild and captive. Very unfortunate what is happening there. The article pointed out that since the fish are so unhealthy, they are fed a dye that makes the flesh a bright pink rather than the dull gray it would be without it. Again, what was healthy food prior to the commercial feed lots has now become unhealthy. A thought for the day, Chris
Guest guest
All that is true especially add the fact that as apex predators, we (and our animals, scince we feed them on a level almost like ours) accumulate all the concentrated chemicals, toxins, and pharmaceuticals, poorly processed because of factory 'living' conditions. But some places farm animals, are treated like gold, much better than people. But here is more, Monsanto, who is the largest soy agri-buisness, has admitted to distributing soy grain that has been genetically modified with rat dna for years. 90% of all fermentation cultures are gm, and on and on, where it stops, nobody knows, ..but I'm ranting again, I think we've been up and down this tree before, and altho everything impacts the clinic,(remember the 'Nourish the Middle' School ? the stomach/spleen/San Jiao) not many people seem concerned to take the bait about these facts. peace http://www.commondreams.org/news2003/1030-03.htm Musiclear@... wrote: I thought after the conversion of a couple months ago that this may be of interest.
