Guest guest
Doug & All, Since you raise the cosmetical as opposed to the cosmological I was wondering if maybe you could decipher the following. I am pretty interested in what the author meant by " theology " but from the context I am wondering if it isn't just a mistranslation. " .. the change of theology in the rat model .. " I can appreciate in this context " theology " may mean " thinking " . But the later " .. change of theology in rats .. " Could they possibly mean the rats behaved in a happier way when they were not infected ? [i.e. theology - spirit / spiritedness - reduced torpor ] If nothing else it illustrates how important it is to access the original work when investigating novel applications of TCM. Sammy. Institute of Basic Theory, China Academy of TCM, Beijing 100700, China. OBJECTIVE: To approach the pharmacological mechanism of the suppository for anti-prostatis (SAP). METHOD: Investigating the inflammation of prostate in rat models with bacterial and nonbacterial prostatis induced by colonbacillus and " Xiao Zhi Ling " , as well as the change of theology in the rat model with acute blood stasis. Several tests on anti-inflammation, analgesia and bacteriostasis were conducted. RESULT AND CONCLUSION: SAP could restrain the inflammation of prostate and resume its secretion obviously. It is very effective for anti-inflammation, analgesia and bacteriostasis, and also helps improve the change of theology in rats with blood stasis. I just see an irony in people decrying the Chinese government's CM policies when I see huge hospitals serving patients everyday with Chinese Medicine. My question is, Can these " masses " , if you will, be served by the ancient traditions? The dermatology department where I was, joked about how they have been so busy lately because of the prosperity that allowed people to focus on the admitadely more minor cosmetological, (not cosmological) aspects of their lives. From here in USA, we always get the " pure " forms of the religious and political movements that weren't allowed in their own countries. People are always shocked to go back to their countries of their heritage and find that the " roots " are gone. Just as Chinese doctors come here and find that they have to actually practice Chinese Medicine. doug As I see it, then, this > new TCM is more virulent in its intent of destroying and de-legitimizing > much of the past lore of healing chinese arts than formerly were new > emerging paradigms/ideas in chinese medical history, possibly because these > didn't have such a massive statal power backing them. Guest guest
I think it means the rat went from Catholic to Buddhist. Of the other way around. Frequent suppositories and proctological tests will do that. Seriously, they must have meant pathology. That's my best guess. doug Chinese Medicine , <ga.bates@v...> wrote: > > Doug & All, > > Since you raise the cosmetical as opposed to the cosmological I was > wondering if maybe you could decipher the following. Guest guest
CM using animal model is not right way to develop CM. CM is human based medicine which is mental based or human psychology based medicine. Human does not know animal thinking even themselves. It is therefoere, bad way to use animal model to replace human. The biggest mistake from westerm medicine is to use animal model to indicate human behavior. This hypotheis is usually wrong. john
