When I did a study of the intellectual roots of Western Medicine I was struck

with the fact of how late in the practice of medicine the law of homeostasis

was formulated.

The laws of the transformation of yin and yang are at the foundation of all

systems of and formulated at its inception.

First principle.

Yin and yang are in opposition. This means that relative physiological

balance is maintained through the mutual opposition of yin and yang.

Second principle

The interedependence of Yin and Yang. Without yang there would be no

production of yin; without yin there would be no production of yang.

Third principle

The inter-consuming-supporting relationship of yin and yang. this is the

consumption of yin leading to the gaining of yang.

Forth principle

The inter-transforming relationship of yin and yang. Extreme yin will

necessarily produce yang and vice versa.

Fifth principle

The infinite divisibility of yin and yang. this is the yin within yang and

yang

within yin quality of phenomenon.

Zinnia,

So very well put. WM is indeed a young child compared to CM's maturity that takes apparently centuries to acquire.
