The daily subtitle called "Frost Falls" is listed for October 23rd through November 6th. From November 7th through November 21st the daily subtitle is "Winter Begins" which then is followed by "Light Snow". So the past five days has been in the period of Frost Falls for what it's worth. Some interesting "correspondences" for this time of year is the calendar indicates a period called "rectification of qi" just ending and a new period called "sublimation of qi" just beginning. On November 8th (Lunar month 10, day 15) is la rites day. The calendar notes that "la rites are noted in some of China's oldest texts. They commemorate the shifts in qi that occur at three intervals of the year. The la rite of water invokes the ancestral benefactors and spirits of protection to guard the family/clan through the challenges of winter." Today is the 10th lunar month, 3rd day. We just finished the Chrysanthemum month and have entered the Plum Flower month, animal correspondence is Pig or Boar. I hope this all helps. I had to give away a considerable sum of money a couple of years ago, and I picked a Taoist priest to give it to. It seemed to have opened up a channel. I seem to get these things. He also publishes an annual book each year with all the pertinent details we have all listed. I like to use this at the office to check the calendar and see what's going on if a number of patients come in with similar pulse influences or complaints. When we started the cold and flu season here in Colorado, I noticed that it coincided with the beginning of the Chinese Cold Dew season. Coincidence?--I think not. It was interesting because here we had unseasonably warm weather, so the pulses were mixed with that heat, too. Just the opposite of Sweden. Looking at the months remaining, I'm redesigning my cold and flu formula to work deeper and for the colder, damp energy in the interior. If you've noticed, few, if any, colds and flu have started with Taiyang symptoms in the last few years; more often Taiyin.
