Hi All, & Jimmy, Shahzad, Roger, Holger & Adam,

Great thread!

Agreed 100%. There are many things that we can do to MANAGE

our stress.

1. Eat well and be positive. Half a cup of water is half full, not half

empty. Love and respect ourselves and Gog's creation. Get away

to the woods / mountains / lakes regularly.

2. Build up & Quicken our Qi-Xue and Weiqi by keeping fit

(mentally, physically & spiritually) and appropriate exercises /

regular use of AP or indirect moxa on the main Qi-Xue acupoints +

points for the adrenal [esp BL23 or BL52) + points for our

constitutional weaknesses (Xu).

3. If we do not know the " mental tricks " to control stress, take the

basic course on SILVA MIND CONTROL / SILVA METHOD -

expensive but worth every cent. If there is no SILVA Course near

you, take a course in Yoga / Meditation or Stress-Control instead.

4. If necessary, take antistress / adaptogenic herbs, such as

Rhodiola rosea [probably the best and saafest adaptogen known,

and safer than Ginseng becaause it can be used in hyper- or Shi-

states, which are contraindications for Ginseng.

Chronic stress, if not managed, suppresses our immune system

and is the precursor to myriads of diseases, including uST ulcers,

CHD, depression, cancer, premature ageing, & autoimmune

diseases.

ANTIOXIDANT herbs + Alltech Bioplex Se + Cr are also very helpful

Beautiful!.

As Roger said, health is relative, and we ALL are imperfect fragile

beings. But, by God's Grace, we can be perfect in our imperections

- at least as perfect as we can be. God MADE us, and God does

not make mistakes. In that sense, we are His/Her responsibility.

This is also a great definition of health!

It reminds me of tales of mountain men who smoked, drank, lusted

and sired many children and died with broad smiles on their faces

at >100 years old. I take my hat off to these hardy, horny b******s

and am sure that many wept at their passing. There is a lot to be

said for the herb Yinyanghuo - Horny Goatweed.

These lucky b******s never saw a doctor in their lives, and never

cared for their bodies except in the most basic of ways (food,

shelter, the odd bath or swim in a stream). They worked (and

shaved) as little as possible, talked and played as much as

possible and slept when tired - at any time of day or night. They

followed their dreams. They worked to fulfil their God-given talents

and express their own unique individuality.

IMO, much of today's woes are because so many people have lost

the ability to dream the impossible dream, or dream only of base or

material things that bring nothing but self-loathing and a feeling of

selfishness and isolation.

And, Jimmy, don't ask me to give up smoking my pipe! THAT

would be too great a stress for me - one that would probably be

uncompensated and hasten my demise!

We all must die from SOMETHING, but while we live, we should

laugh and love, and (yes) lust occasionally. I believe that one who

cannot lust is already dead inside, but does not know it yet. And I

realise that lusting and fulfilling that lust are two quite different

things!

IMO, the definition of a living saint is one who lusts for the forbidden

but transcends the desire with a wistful sigh.

Best regards,
