Guest guest
I have been looking at various accurpressure/ accupunture meridians and noticed some distinct differences. I don't remember the venacular for all the points, but I do remember their location... In the Tui-na class I took the heart channel started at the web of the hand (between thumb and pointer) and ended on the cheek. In accupuncture (on-line and in the text " the web has no weaver " ) the lung channel starts at the thumb. Heart is pinkie.... Jin Shin do... I still haven't found a coherent listing of the channels, however, it does share many of the points I was shown. does anyone know if this is specific school of thinking or??? I have gotten excellent results from the work I've done with tui-na. More than once bordering on what I would call Miraculous... but I would like to assemble a comprehensive body of knowledge. The other thing is... When we had the five elements taught it was represented as fire in the middle... Wood, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wind around the borders. It was explained as follows: Fire and Wood make ash or Earth. Fire and Earth make (solid or) Metal. Fire and Metal make (liquid or) Water. fire and water make (gas or) air. (I added the stuff in brackets cause it seemed to add to the explanation revealing it too reference the states of matter). The way the five elements are represented in photos under " Theory " excludes wind from the diagram altogether. Do they have a break down like above? I have seen a similar illustration to the one posted showing which organs have influence over which organs.... I imagine this is just a specific school of thought, but I am interested to see how many other ways this information has been taught and received. I see it kind of like our body being several kinds of batteries at once. One battery stores kinetic enegy (movement of blood- like kids using a merry go round to power a water pump, the water tower becoming a battery for kinetic energy.) Our digestive is chemical battery breaking down food for power. Solar? (don't know enough... nuclear (since most everyone would agree an atom can be split and destroy, so each atom holds enough power to repair... How many bodies???) Perhaps I listened to too much Motzart as a kid. In regards to the " Motzart Effect " . I have read that infants listening to Motzart in the childhood was suppose to increase brain wave activity, and increase their ability to do complex thinking. Though I imagine as with anything some children are open to such stimulation and some aren't. I do not believe it was ineffective obviously if it was the generations that followed wouldn't have been so inspired, but I think that is true of almost all music. (even discordant music often has comples resonant patterns, but the problem with that is... finding healthy release for such energies once a society is oscillating on that level). Like how people imitate art... some take what is healthy from it, some only take that which is dramatic, or will garner attention... Or how in martial arts the points that are used to hurt may also heal. The path is always the say, it's what you do along the way...
