Guest guest
Thank you Attilo, I am available for questions regarding TCM and sound healing. I can provide this group with some of the most up to date data regarding the testing on subjects with frequencies (i.e. Delta Brain wave A and B) and the affects. Also, personal experiences and references to Acupuncture theory and Sound (i.e it's origin and physics/mathematics). The sound or tones preceded acupuncture and I make a direct connection to the Ba Gua (Prenatal and Post Natal Gua) coming from a musical scale for example. I enjoy answering questions and I look forward to this interaction among practitioners. Stay in Tune! Dean Lloyd <attiliodalberto wrote: Hi Dean, Glad you could join. I have your book BTW. Could you post something about music and healing. We also have another music healer in the group, Mike Legge. You sent two messages, but the second one contained nothing so i took the liberity of deleting it, hope that was ok. Kind regards Attilio
Guest guest
Dean, I've had an interest in sound and healing for several years and have been practicing a form of sound Qi Gong for self-healing and with my patients for some time. I'm also a jazz musician and the tenor sax is my instrument. Since you've done research on the subject, I thought I ask you whether the first healing sounds were produced with an instrument or the human voice? Guest guest
Hello, I appreciate being given the opportunity to join this e-group. I am a 3rd year student of TCM at Pacific College in New York City. I am 51, returning to school after a career in dance. I have also practiced hands-on healing work and movement re-education for 12+ years. I have alaready looked at and downloaded many of the documents on file to help study for my comprehensive exams which are coming up this April. What a great resource! Thanks very much to whoever put the time in to prepare, post and share these documents. RoseAnne Spradlin
Guest guest
You're welcome; I'm a student at Pacific, also, just studying Herbs there, since they were not offered at my acup. school. It's a good school, and this email group is likewise a good place, also, to pick up information. Guest guest
Hello all, Just to introduce myself: My name is Karl Farren and I am a practitioner of Shiatsu, acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. My interest in Oriental Medicine developed from my training in martial arts (mainly Kung Fu, but also some Karate-Do and Muay Thai). Originally from Dublin, Ireland, I moved to London in 1989 to study Shiatsu at the British School of Shiatsu-Do. On completion of my studies there, I was intrigued and wanted to learn more about the theory and philosophy underpinning what I had learnt. I went on to study acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the London School of Acupuncture and Traditional (now part of the University of Westminster). From 1992 to 1998 I was a member of the faculty at the British School of Shiatsu-Do, teaching Shiatsu and theory, as well as being in private practice in London. In 1998 I moved to Australia, where I continue to practice in a small town in northern New South Wales. I have also continued to teach Shiatsu and theory at The Way College of Oriental Therapies and Bodywork, Byron Bay.
