Re. Sickle Cell-

I've had notable results treating Sickle Cell Disease. I'm aware that a

consultant haematologist at a hospital in London had an acupuncturist do a

clinical trial on the treatment of Sickle Cell about 12 years ago. I spoke

to the acupuncturist, who said that they were getting very favorable

results, but ran out of money (they had a few thousand pounds for the

project) and had to terminate the study. (Reinforces points that have been

made in the discussion group about research for CM).CHM also seems to be

very useful.

I'd agree with Marco's comments about syndromes. Sickling can be very

specific - I've seen problems develop in the TH/GB meridians with Shao Yang

level EPFs, for example, that in turn responded very favorably to

acupuncture treatment for Shao Yang EPF.

It's interesting that a disease that is quite specific to non-Chinese

genetic groups can respond so well to CM treatment, validating the universal

applicability of CM differentiation.
