One of the main diagnostic principles in TCM is to determine fullness/excess

or emptiness/deficincy.

 

In a un-sound economy we could use the world surplus and deficit.

 

I believe that you can't have surplus without having some kind of

deficiency. Yes you can have abundance and sufficiency but that's something

else.

 

A sound economy AND spirit must IMO rest on a harmonious balance, based on

sufficiency, abundance, compassion, love, joy, freedom, sharing, the dance

between whats wanted and needed, and caring for all.

I take back what I said .. to hasty formulated please forgive

Deficiency and Excess can also be a natural state of imbalance creating

motion - action

Surplus and Deficit can be a way of keeping blance in ones economy

 

What I meant was that IMO the goal of creating a higher and higher surplus

(fullness-excess) cannot be the basis for a sound economy.
