Dear Attilo,

Was the course like?

Via the internet it sounds really interesting.

Have you a way of knowing if it is less watering down as opposed to other

courses (I am not saying other coursers are water down in the UK, but being a

university and the Beijing connection...)

Is it learning to think, will you go to China? (and Guatemala joke:-)

Do you learn Chinese?

I might next year go to UK and would be interested in maybe meeting up with

people like your self...

Marco

Ps. AND what is recommended reading material? with regard to English language

course would be interesting to if it is different from say other institutions

and or schools college and so forth...

Thanks Attilio,

If you ask me (which you did not) you would do your self a great favour by also

looking into Tui nai and self massage for the patients as part of a treatment

strategy...

thank you for the link...

Yes, the course is very good in my opinon. To see the teaching

structure follow this link:

http://www.mdx.ac.uk/subjects/hea/tcm.htm

We are taught at Middlesex University by Chinese doctors from

Beijing and Nanjing. We do learn Mandarin, (see uploaded file), only

for a year though, but i think this is being extended for following

years. The course is still new and thus changing.

We will go to Beijing for 6 months where we will practice in two of

the major hospitals there. We are already given alot of clinical

practice via the Ascante academy in Archway and in their pain clinic

at Whittington hospital.

What we don't cover is the use of electrical acupuncture and tui na,

which is really strange espcailly since we do cover business skills,

law and ethics! Go figure.
