Dear Anand,

Thanks for your encouraging words...

I think that a lot of things can be done since have seen so via the internet.

There are interesting projects in India and Africa.

Some of this list I think have been there or are there. There is even a scholl

in India that started out as a clinic which is now three years (I think), and it

seams to be very much community orientated.

Less I am mistaking China sends Chinese doctors to Africa and Korea has or still

is sending Chinese doctors to other South East Asian countries. If anyone knows

more about this it would be interesting to find out more...

In Guatemala There is I think Doc Rosen and GUMAP. They work in Peten and maybe

in other places with health promoters - promoters de salud. It would be

interesting and probably worthwhile co-operating with them (not sure doc if you

received my mails?)

Cuba so near yet so far. We have some Cuban doctors here some that are a class

of there own and others that are purely commercial as with every place on earth

there are those that have more affinity with art of medicine and those that have

less so...

There are people practicing acupuncture here but they do it on the very

expensive end and not " wholisticaly " .

The majority in Guatemala a living under man made poverty earning 300-900

quitzales say about 30-90 English sterling a month (this is within the city no

idea what the rural situation is and on fincas and so forth probably not any

better and unfortunately more likely worst)

Thus when I hear of people in Guatemala charging 220 quitcales a session and

adding many vitamins of whatever sort oni(?) juice for everything then I

wonder???

I did have a small class but it was a disaster. At the hospital one patient whom

also is a western doctor plus his " five friends " wants to learn. Maybe a minimum

three years?

And I have already said that we need to set up some form of community orientated

practice (what they do after the course I can not determine but at least during

the course provided it takes of)

This list plus others specially Chinese herbal Academy are very help full.

For example when I came across this list I was very resistant to people like

James and Alon (no offence:-) and now they amongst others are very inspirational

to my day to day inspiration and of the long term dream of really seeing Chinese

medicine used not only in a privet setting but others settings too.

My immediate problem is lack of knowing Chinese medicine (i.e. I can only

represent it thus far, by planting that there are many streams of Chinese

medicine and this is my current understanding and so forth...)

I really need to learn medical Chinese have now some books so it is a start:-)

lack of experience that is where it will be worthwhile and useful when other

people can come down be it a short stay or long stay...

And the loneliness, I get aerated at my self for feeling so far away from

Chinese medicine, of course my books are a blessing and I suppose I can take

this time to improve on mediation and try to develop Qi gong and tai chi Chuan

and so forth but as is clear these things ought to be done with a mentor-master

and so forth...

Take the pulses for example of Which Jim always appreciative of your help would

be fascinating to learn more profoundly...

I think of what Z'ev mentions to take the pulse is to " feel " the life of the

patients which I think his Ayervedic teacher mention...

Everything that has to do with the pulses has started to interest me and as Jim

said everything has to with the pulses:-)

In a country where people are afraid to speak be it about emotions or feelings

the pulse can be a real ice breaker...

Anyway thanks for your kind words and the lists are really a great help so

thanks to the list moderators:-)

Marco
