To add to my previous email, i present a quote from Ken Rose's

book 'Who can ride the dragon?':

It is hard to imagine a modern heart surgeon performing a delicate

bypass of the coronary arteries without a comprehensive description

of the heart, the body it animates, and to some extent the world in

which that body lives and to which its heart responds. It is equally

difficult to conceive of using an acupuncture needle without knowing

where to put it, what to do with it, and why, without understanding

how the Chinese thought of qi. That knowledge can only come from

understanding the traditional Chinese schematic of the body and the

environmental matrix that creates and supports its growth and

development (Huan and Rose 1999, p66).

Chinese medicine. we are all here to help patients.

> I strongly agree that you CANNOT stereotype or pigeon hole people

in certain areas. ALL groups of healthcare systems have good and bad

(Yin and Yang) people within them. Trying to attack a whole

healthcare system is ridiculous. At the same time I believe that each

profession should be correctly protected not for the slice of the

money pie, but for the benefit of the patient. Look at dentistry,

only dentists can touch teeth, it should be the same for MDs and

their profession and TCM practitioners with theirs.
