It is equally difficult to conceive of using an acupuncture needle without knowing where to put it, what to do with it, and why, without understanding how the Chinese thought of qi. That knowledge can only come from understanding the traditional Chinese schematic of the body and the environmental matrix that creates and supports its growth and development (Huan and Rose 1999, p66). At the same time I believe that each profession should be correctly protected not for the slice of the money pie, but for the benefit of the patient.
