Guest guest
Hi All, & Hi Alwin, Sean/Peter, if library budgets are stretched next year, we should ensure that all book purchaces are made ONLY after checking prices on WWW. See below: Alwin van Egmond wrote: > See: http://www.bestbookdeal.com It searches 58 online bookstores > for price and availability Alwin That is a great site! Amazon.com now has REAL competition on the WWW! I checked the prices of several books on acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition and conventional veterinary medicine. The price differences between shops is quite astonishing. For example, the book " Science and Civilisation in China: Volume 6, Biology and Biological Technology, Part 6, Medicine " by Joseph Needham et al ranged from 57 to 116 $ depending on the shop. Thomson's Special Veterinary Pathology (2000) ranged from 84- 136 $. Practical Dictionary of [1999, by Wiseman et al] ranged from 72 to 151 $. Colleagues, BOOKMARK this site and let me know if you find a better one for your online book purchaces! Guest guest
Hi Phil, Quite a stroke of luck that I clicked on that URL below. I was looking for the Art of War and Health book and discovered it locally at Eastwind Books of Berkeley. I called up Harvey Dong and order it just a minute ago. His son Kevin Dong was my student in human anatomy and physiology, and he's now an local optometrist. I'll be stopping by his office for a new pair of glasses. All of this in the few minutes since you posted your missive below. Thanks very much!
